Daft.ie Remains the Most Visited Property Website in Ireland
28th July 2009, New audience figures released today by Internet audience measurement firm ABC Electronic, shows that Daft.ie remains the most visited property website on the Island of Ireland. According to ABC Electronic, Daft.ie received a record number of visitors to its website in May 2009 and has significantly increased its audience market share of house buyers and renters looking for property online. The May audit shows that Daft.ie delivered over 103 million page impressions to 1,275,630 unique browsers, a 24% increase on a previous audit conducted in September 2008.
Commenting on the audit results, Eamonn Fallon, CEO at Daft.ie said, "We have seen strong growth in audience numbers across all sections of the website, but particularly in residential sales. This means that there are a lot of buyers waiting on the sidelines for the market to bottom out. My advice for sellers right now is to be flexible with your pricing and to make sure your online ad has good quality photos. According to our traffic stats, ads with good quality photos get much higher click-through rates than ads with no or poor quality photos".
Some of the traffic growth in May can be attributed to the launching of Daft.com into the Northern Ireland market place. "As the number one property website in the 26 counties, Northern Ireland was an obvious market for us to expand into. After researching the market for a number of months, we realised we could offer a more efficient service to Northern Ireland estate agents than existing websites. We launched daft.com in May, and less than 2 months later we cover more than 20% of the market."
