Just a note to say that my latest experience of using Daft.ie has been very favourable (after about an 8 year gap!). The user interface is very straightforward and the pricing structure is transparent and fair. I forgot to take the ad off though and got about 50 million emails and lots more calls. Goes to show just how many people browse your site daily. Well done to all of you. I''m super impressed!!! ;-)

I have been advertising on the evening echeo, cork for the past 10 years and only in the last year i have been using your system which i find absolutly excellent.Generally i might get 3 phone calls from the echeo and from it can be as many as 10 to 15 in a low season renting and more in high season.Not only that but i feel that the cliental are much more suited to the middle to up-market properties which i have available.The properties i am relating to are all located in the south side within walking distance to the city centre.

We have just rented out our apartment for the first time - thanks to Daft. You provide a brilliant service; my favourite feature is the ability to edit the ad while it is still active. This feature was very useful as we could switch phone numbers and email addresses depending on whether we were in the office or not.
The volume and quality of responses was also much higher than respondents to posters erected in local shops, hospital etc.

I know this sounds stupid but Daft helped me when I needed
it and I have nothing but good words to say about daft.
I was looking for a person to share my house with as I am a single mom and needed extra income every penny counts and I placed an ad on Daft. No joking with in 20mins of the ad going on line I had phone calls.
My mother even got a lodger for 2-3 months out of my ad as I had so many responces as did my brother when he also placed an ad for a lodger in his house.

Just to let you know that within 11 days of placing my add to sell my house on your website (sort code 110207), I am in the process of selling my house. All things going well, once the house is sold I will take my add off your site then. In the mean time it gives me great pleasure to change my photo and put "SALE AGREED" on it so that other people living in my county can see what a great website they are viewing/using.
I have to admit that I can't see how you are making any money from this site as there are no banners/adverts (and thankfully no pop ups!). 2 euro wouldn't even buy you a coffee these days.

I just rented an apartment in Harlod's Cross using your service. Since I am
currently live in the US, the only viable method for apartment hunting was
via the internet. I found your web site about a year ago and have been
monitoring it. Finally, in July, I submitted a want ad and established an e-mail
alert. Eighty some responses later, I connected with a estate agency, sent
a holding deposit and will sign the lease when I get to Dublin. The only problem
I have now is the two further ads I got from DAFT which seem to be an even
better deal than what I have already accepted.
In any case, your service has made apartment hunting across the broad
Atlantic quite simple. I intend to avail myself of this agency again in about a
year and would recommend it to any one. Many thanks.

I was relocating out of Dublin last year with my wife and young family (3yrs, 18months and 6months). It was an experiment as such. I was given the chance from my M.D. to prove I could do my job from Cork. (At the time I was selling mobile office solutions so it was a case of practice what I preach!) We decided not to sell in case we had to return to Dublin. I was left down at the very last minute in by an estate agent. The day before the removal trucks came, I got a call to say their client had changed his mind. As the estate agent was reputable, I was had not looked for a deposit etc. I was left feeling very stupid and soon frantic that I would not be around to show the house etc.. A friend suggested I put the add on daft.ie. I did so the same day. Within the space of 3 hours I had 10 calls. By the next morning we were moving to Cork and I had tenants.
Almost a year passed and my tenant had to move on. Again I looked immediately to daft.ie. However, no huge response rate as before, but still a few emails/calls. I rekoned it being late June, it was not a good time to rent. I put an add in the Herald which ran for 3 days. Not one call. I saw from my ad on daft that I was getting plenty of 'clicks' so I upgraded my ad and put in pictures of the house and the garden. Got several calls the next day and a tenant the following day again!
There is no other medium that even touches DAFT.ie. if you are looking for tenants.
By the way, the Herald cost me 33 euro. The Irish Times were looking for 90 euro. Daft was only 2 euro!!!
