American nurse trying to decide whether to accept job in Dublin or Cork

Hi! I am interviewing this week and next for nursing jobs in Cork and Dublin. I am very torn about what city to choose and would love any and all advice.

The concerns that are making is hard to decide:

1. The research \\\\\\\\\\\'ve done on cost of housing is so intimidating. The rent prices are quite a bit more than I\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'m used to. It seems a bit more reasonable in Cork but not by much. Is there any trick to finding an affordable studio or one bedroom?
2. Public transport: I will not own a car. I know public transport has to be pretty reliable in Dublin. What about Cork? The research \\\\\\\'ve done seems like buses are the only option, and do they only run after 7 am? My nurse shift would likely start at 7, so \\\\\\\'m very concerned about how I would get to my job at Cork Maternity Hospital with no car. Any insight on this would be especially appreciated!
3. I like the idea of Cork because it\\\\\\\'s not as large a city as Dublin. Is there still a lot to do there?

Are they any other pluses or minuses I should consider? I am a single woman who is very excited about moving but I want To make sure I make the right choice.
