Hi there, first timer and glad I found this site. I am currently renting an apartment for 12 months, ending on 31 March 2012 and have 6 months rent paid. Next rent isn't due until 1 October 2011 but manager turned up at my door on Thursday 1 September asking for the rent. He claimed it was a new arrangement and he needed the rent early, I told him it wasn't due until 1 October (which is a Saturday), he then said it could wait until 15 September but I was told by a local resource centre he cannot demand rent early and his behaviour was approaching harassment. They have told me not to pay this next rent until its due date. I not signed any new payment arrangements with the manager. Who is correct? My apologies if this is in the wrong forum.
