Reading your post I would advise against buying the house there are a couple of issues I can see that are making you uncomfortable with the buy. The area itself you dont seem to like, you feel you would be embarrassed if people called to see you and you seem worried about the estate, I live in Tallaght and am from the far end like Millbrook & Old Bawn as much as I want to stay living in Tallaght I wont buy in West Tallaght even though houses are alot cheaper.

This is a huge financial commitment and going from experience of buying my first home and hating the place I would suggest you put the stopper on the sale as you dont sound fully into it.

Take time out and maybe save more and find the right house that you know you will be very happy and secure in.
