SITUATION AND AMENITIES: Radharc na Farraige is a development of 12 luxury sea side apartments in a Gaeltacht village know as Casla. Casla has a variety of shops, pubs and petrol station and also benefits from being on a main bus commuter route towards Galway and Carraroe. There are many facilities including a church, schools, pubs, restaurants, Post Office and a supermarket.
Some of Ireland`s most beautiful unspoiled beaches can be found in and around Carraroe with the Coral Strand, `Trá an Dóilín` being the most famous with its fine coral. Rossaveal is just five miles away, the second largest fishing port on the western seaboard. Rossaveal also houses the terminal for ferries to the Aran Islands.
Galway Hookers (Húicéirí Na Gaillimhe) are a distinctive form of native Irish boat, and An Cheathrú Rua (Carraroe) is today probably the single most important centre for these boats. Every August bank holiday, An Cheathrú Rua hosts Féile an Dóilín, the largest Galway hooker festival in Ireland, and one of the largest maritime festivals in the country.
