Daft now offers internship opportunities throughout the year. If you are studying Computer Science / Computer Engineering or a related degree, we have a number of work placements with our technical development team.

What is Daft?

Founded in 1997, Daft.ie has revolutionised how consumers in Ireland find property. We have tens of thousands of customers in Ireland and across the world who regularly advertise with us. Approximately 9 out of every 10 properties for sale in Ireland are advertised on Daft.ie.

What do our interns do?

As an intern on the web products team you'll have real responsibility, real work, and real opportunities to start your career. You will be building apps & features that are used by hundreds of thousands of people on a daily basis!

From day one you will be given ownership over your own projects, you will receive mentoring from the team at Daft, and learn about the online industry from the inside of Ireland's busiest website.

Sample projects that previous interns have worked on:

• AJAX Video/Image Uploader
• Online Reporting System
• Interactive Mapping Mash-ups

Possible projects that you could be working on:

• Utilising next-gen tech to enrich user experience
• iPhone / Android Application Development
• GPS based intelligent mapping search
• RSS to email/SMS/twitter gateway
• Geospatial data analysis & integration

Requirements

• Studying Computing based degree
• Strong analytical, problem solving and computer programming skills
• Top grades or a track record of success
• Knowledge/experience using PHP/MySQL a plus
