Sherry FitzGerald McMahon was founded in 1900 and traded until recently as Michael McMahon & Son providing a range of property, insurance and financial services from its base in Ennis and branch offices in Shannon and Kilrush. The firm has a long record of independence and believes in the importance of the integrity of the advice provided to clients.
In 1999 Dermot McMahon became the founding Chairman of Sherry FitzGerald Countrywide and the firm became its first franchisee - a decision made by the directors in consultation with staff in order to enhance the quality of service to clients through the marketing, training, research and technical and technological backup which can only be provided by an organisation with very substantial resources in these areas.

The McMahon Group has twenty employees, twelve of whom are exclusively involved in property sales, letting and valuations. All staff dealing with property are either Chartered Surveyors or members of the Irish Auctioneers and Valuers Institute (IAVI).

The Ennis branch is the Head Office of the McMahon Group.
Helen Gallery is the Residential Property Manager and Paddy Darmody is the Commercial Property Manager.
