PRESS RELEASE - DAFT.IE AND METEOR ANNOUNCE WAP PARTNERSHIP

[3rd July 2002] Dublin-based Daft.ie, Ireland's most popular property website*, today announced a WAP partnership deal with Meteor Mobile Communications. This partnership will enable Meteor customers to rent, buy or share an apartment or house anywhere in Ireland, using their mobile phones.

"We are always looking at ways to make it easier for our users to rent, buy and share property in Ireland" said Eamonn Fallon, Business Development Manager, Daft Media Limited. "People are so busy these days that they don't have time to be looking for a place to live during work hours. Now people can use Daft on the bus or Dart travelling into or out of work or college". According to a Meteor spokesperson, Meteor chose to partner with Daft because "Meteor's target market is a perfect fit with Daft.ie. They are the most popular property site and this is another service that helps meet the needs of this young market".

Daft.ie are providing Meteor with a customised version of the Daft website that can be accessed by WAP enabled mobile phones. WAP is the standard that enables GSM mobile phones browse the Internet. Meteor mobile users will be able to search for apartments or houses to rent or buy based on price, location and number of bedrooms. For example an accommodation sharing section will allow people find a new housemate or simply rent out a spare room. In addition a car parking space section will allow people to buy or lease spare car parking spaces. All the properties and rooms that are available on the Daft website are also available on the Meteor WAP site. Once the Meteor mobile user sees a property he or she likes they can ring or send a text message directly to the property owner to organise a viewing.
