ANNOUNCING THE LAUNCH OF THE DAFT ENGINE VERSION 3

Dear Daft Users,

We are very pleased to announce the launch of version 3 of the Daft Engine. The Daft Engine is the software behind-the-scenes that runs Daft.ie. It has undergone a complete overhaul and contains a huge number of improvements and new features. Check out below the list of all the improvements and features we added to the Daft Engine over the past few months. IMPROVED MYDAFT

• No more guessing when your ad goes live, you can see when it happens in My Daft
• Print out all ads you are interested in, in one go. Since these ads contain all contact details, you can use the print-out instead of a newspaper if you are spending the day flat hunting
• All ads are now edited or removed using My Daft
• All your personal information stored on Daft can be modified through the new My Daft section

IMPROVED SEARCH TECHNOLOGY

• Search through all rental, sharing and sales ads based on:
  
  
  • area
  • price
  • distance to city center
  • proximity to bus lines or dart line
  • proximity to your college or university

NEW AD ENTRY SYSTEM

• You can now specify more details when entering ads such as:
  
  
  • When property is becoming available
  • The number of double, single and twin rooms in a property
  • More options in sharing ads such as males/females only and number of bedrooms available
• Register an entry in the new tenant, roommate and team-up databases (see below)
• Easier and clearer email verification

NEW SEARCHES

• Roommate Database. If you have a spare room available now or sometime in the future, find people to fill it in the roommate database
• Team-up Database. Team-up up with other Daft users and find a place to rent together. Handy for people currently outside Ireland or for anyone looking to live with a new group of people.

NEW SERVICES

• Insurance Service. Daft users can now get insurance on all their stuff inside and outside their apartment or house
• Rent Relief Information. Everything you need to know about claiming rent relief, including online form
• Tenant Database. Landlords and agents find tenants before your property becomes vacant
• Tenant Screening Service. Landlords and agents take the risk out of renting and use a professional screening service. Includes full background, work and credit history check in Ireland and abroad (if applicable)
