DAFT.IE JUMPS INTO THE COMMERCIAL PROPERTY MARKET

Daft.ie, Ireland's biggest property website located in Dublin's Digital Hub today (3rd August 2004) launched a new commercial property section. The new section features a broad selection of office and retail spaces to let but maintains a specific focus on the smaller spaces suitable for small to medium sized businesses.

The new Daft.ie commercial property section features searchable lists of commercial properties to let from all over Ireland. All the properties are described in both sq. feet and sq. metres. Rent is given per month and per sq. metre, which makes comparisons of potential properties easier. A discussion forum is provided so that commercial tenants can learn from each other's experience and potentially team-up to find space together.

According to Eamonn Fallon, Director, Daft.ie "We are trying to make finding an office or retail space as easy as we have made finding a roommate or a house share. Small businesses find it very difficult to find a suitable office or retail space and we are trying to address that. One of the most exciting additions on our commercial property site will be the concept of office sharing. We have taken the popular house share concept and applied it to office space"

He continued, "Office sharing is similar to standard house sharing, except it is set in a professional environment. If you have spare space or desks in your office, you can easily let them out on Daft.ie, just like you would let out a spare room in your house. There are a large number of self-employed professionals out there who would like to work in an office environment but can't afford the whole overhead of running one. Placing an office sharing ad on Daft.ie costs only €2 so letting out your spare desks won't break the bank."

This commercial property section like the residential sections, focuses on the needs of the user, is innovative, fast and easy to use. To view the new Daft.ie commercial property section online go to www.daft.ie/commercial
