Daft.ie Takes Home International Property Award
21st September 2007, Daft.ie, Ireland's largest property website, was awarded "Best Property Portal" at the 2007 CNBC International Property Awards. Daft.ie was presented with the award by former BBC Royal Correspondent Jennie Bond at a gala dinner in London's Grosvenor Square. Competition for the awards was high with over 56 different countries across the globe represented at the awards. These global awards, now in the 13th year, are dubbed the "World's largest property competition".
Odhran Ginnity, COO, Daft.ie said "This award is a testament to the hard work of the Daft team in making Daft.ie a world-class website. It's very reassuring to see that a judging panel based outside of Ireland think that Daft.ie is one of the best property portals in the world".
The CNBC International Property Awards aim to identify the very best in the residential property market globally and are supported the New York Times, The Daily Mail and the Sydney Morning Herald. The panel of judges is drawn from organisations such as the National Association of Estate Agents, Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors, National Housebuilding Council and the British Interior Design Association and is chaired by Eric Pickles MP, British Shadow Secretary of State
All winners of the awards have been invited to attend an event in the Las Vegas Bellagio Hotel on November 16th where the highest point scoring winners will be identified as the best in the world.
