Property Description:

Tory Sound cottage is situated in the peacfull surrounds of the
Isle of Doagh overlooking Pollan Bay and its supberb beach. The
Cottage enjoys wonderfull views over the renowned Ballyliffen Golf
Club up towards Urris Head and the impressive Glashedy Rock.

This cottage is a haven for golfing enthusiasts, for the non
golfers they are steeped in musical, historical and cultural
influences and outdoor lovers will enjoy the breathtaking scenery.
Walking, fishing and watersports all play a part of making this
holiday cottage a wonderfull destination.

Golf: Ballyliffin golf club is ranked as one of the top 100 golf
clubs in Ireland & the Uk and is among the worlds greatest golf
courses, with two links courses offering the old links classic
course and the new Glashedy links course designed by the Irish and
British Open Champion, Nick Faldo. We can also offer the
Greencastle Golf Course, which has amazing scenery of Lough Foyle
and rolling hills of Donegal.

Fishing: There is fishing at your doorstep with Trawbreaga bay
100m from the cottage, where you will find sea trout along the
channel banks and is also popular for fresh water eels, flounder
and dogfish. Pollan Bay is well known by the locals to be
plentiful of flounder, dab, turbot, seatrout and occasional bass.
Sandeel, mackerel strip and white ragworm seem to be the best
baits.

Horse riding: for accomplished horse riders or those willing to
learn, Ballyliffin is the perfect setting to do just that and just
a short drive to Malin village you will find all your equestrian
needs.

Surfing: Pollan Strand is the ideal location for surfing, body
boarding and canoe surfing, with Atlantic facing waves almost year
round. With the most consistent waves in Ireland due to its
exposure to South West, West and Northerly/Noreasterly swells.

Walking: Coastal Walkway: The local Development Group is
constructing a purpose-built walkway from Pollan Beach to
Carrickabrahy Castle in the Isle of Doagh. With the towering
Donegal Mountains on one side to the always-impressive North
Atlantic Ocean on the other this is a great way to get the heart
pumping and see our beautiful coastline.

Booking deposit (non refundable) of 100 euro per week - with the
balance to be paid six weeks prior to letting period.

Linen and towels are supplied.

Rental is Saturday to Saturday (except by special arrangement)
