Sherry FitzGerald McCreery
In 1876, Alexander McCreery established an auctioneering company in Kilkenny and through five generations the company is still owned and operated by a "McCreery".
In 1924 the company began trading from 40 Parliament Street. Not only is it the oldest practice in Kilkenny but its is also one of the oldest in Ireland. In the 1940's & 50's, Charlie McCreery (Grandfather of Peter) travelled the length and breath of Co. Kilkenny in a horse drawn carriage selling property. In those days phones were not in existence, communication was by letter and a viewing in Thomastown could take four hours.
Today the company is headed by Peter McCreery, Managing Director and employs 6 full time staff. The company's centrally located offices and showrooms are designed to show our clients property in a professional yet warm, bright and friendly atmosphere.
The company joined Sherry FitzGerald Countrywide in 2000 and together with 600 like-minded colleagues and professionally trained staff throughout the Sherry FitzGerald Group, their clients have access to a far larger market.
