But if you'd rather skip the cooking part, you can always nip into nearby Abergavenny (a sixteen-minute drive) or Monmouth (a twenty-minute drive). Both market towns deliver the traditional Welsh inns and tea rooms you're chasing. When it's time to embrace the great outdoors, you're in the middle of some truly excellent rambling routes like Three Castles Walk and the Offa's Dyke Path, and history buffs will relish a day out to local castles and structures even older than your home. And the surrounding area is a mountain bikers paradise with Bike Park Wales and Black Mountain nearby.
