The main entrance to the property is located on Local Road L3500 which can be accessed from the R165 Lavey?Bailieboro road. The eastern element of the property comprises of an existing quarry while the western element of the lands are in agricultural use.

Planning permission was granted by Cavan County Council on the 5th May 2008 in relation to the existing quarry area to continue working the quarrying facility. The quarry and all ancillary site works extend to an area of 23 hectares. The existing extraction area extends to approx. 6.3 hectares (15.5 acres).

Planning Reg. Ref. No. 12/101 ? New Extraction Area
On the 27th November 2012, Cavan County Council granted a 10 year planning permission for an extension to the existing quarry site. The new permitted extraction area extends to approx. 4 hectares (10 acres).
