The Old Bank Building is an impressive, predominantly red brick, three-storey over-basement Italianate period landmark building that was built c.1890 in the late Victorian and early Edwardian period, and was formally home to the Munster and Leinster Bank. Many of the period features have been kept intact, including the Munster and Leinster monograms on the front elevation, and impressive brick pilasters to the front and north elevations with Flemish bond red brickwork.
The ground floor exterior is mainly limestone with impressive marble columns and limestone pilasters, and fascia with square-headed windows and sash windows overhead. There are several period fireplaces and mantlepieces in the highceiling period offices, as well as cornicing and architrave and other decorative features.
The overhead offices are self-contained with a separate entrance from North Circular Road, and are currently split up into approximately 14 individual offices of varying sizes that benefit from excellent floor to ceiling height, and good natural light from period sash windows.
