Derrintin, Leenane, Co. Galway

Derrintin is a rural townland, approximately 9 kilometres Northeast of the Village of Leenane, County Galway and approximately 23 kilometres Southwest of the town of Westport, County Mayo. Derrintin is in a mountainous area along N59 Leenane to Westport road where the Eriff River flows towards Leenane. Leenane itself is a picturesque village with a lovely community atmosphere, and several bars and restaurants, convenience store and Health Centre. Leenane is located on the Killary Fjiord and offers boat trips, fishing as well as an adventure centre and a hotel. The property is within a 80 minute drive of Ireland West Airport Knock while Galway City is 74 Kilometres away and the town of Clifden is 43 kilometres away. All the lands in Folio Number MY38940 extending to approximately 278.06 hectares (687 acres). The holding comprises around 21 hectares (52 acres) of green land, with the balance of approximately 257 hectares (635 acres) consisting of mountain land. The lands are adequately fenced throughout and benefit from a water supply. The farm is exceptionally well maintained and includes a four-bay double slatted sheep unit for 250 sheep with silage base, sheep penning and dipping facilities, a storage shed, and separate ladies’ and gents’ toilet facilities.
