Traditional Stone House in Svirce on Hvar Island, Hvar-Jelsa, Split-Dalmatia

Semi-Detached House | 3 Beds | 2 Baths
  • Overview

Property Description:

Earnest are delighted to present this traditional stone house in a village on Hvar Island with a great terrace affording panoramic views. The house is situated on the southern slopes overlooking the village and the vineyards beyond.

The accommodation consists of a good size kitchen breakfast room which leads onto a reception room to the front of the house. The sleeping area has its own entrance and consists of 3 bedrooms and bathroom. Below is a large konoba or cellar room which has potential to be incorporated into the rest of the house.

Externally there is a great terrace (c. 40m2) with awesome views where many hours would no doubt be spent.
Beneath the terrace is a room accessed from the street level which might once have been a shop front and is now extra storage.

The house could benefit from some updating to get it into a perfect condition. If you required help with this, we have contact with companies offering this service.

Svire is an inland village approximately 4km from the seaside town of Jelsa. The village is well known for its wine on the island and the surrounding area is cultivated with vineyards interspersed with some olive groves - how beautifully Mediterranean! There is a beautiful domed (only one on the island) church in the village. Through Svire passes one of the most beautiful cycle routes in the Adriatic. The village is serviced with a couple of grocery shops and one or two cafe bars. Further afield is the town of Jelsa, which has a good selection of supermarkets, restaurants and cafe bars in and around its vibrant Pijaca. Jelsa has a daily catamaran service provided by Jadrolinija to Split via Bol on the island of Brac. It also has the new and exciting European Coastal Airlines sea plane which runs to Split airport in less than 15 minutes, a fantastic service and currently running all year round.
