High tea is served on elaborate cake stands in a traditional English parlour from the 16th century, and guests flock there to indulge in the delights that tea rooms like Mrs. Burton's have to offer. Local butchers and organic vegetable stores stock cheeses and wines produced within a few miles, and there are plenty of other quaint shops for them to peruse as they sip and savour their purchases. In contrast, the majestic Battle Abbey towers over this picturesque community.
