U Carton is on the edge of Maynooth Town, directly opposite Carton Retail Park, with a large Tesco outlet and a variety of other convenience shops and restaurants. Maynooth main street is lined with a growing selection of eateries and bars that have earned the prestigious Purple Flag recommendation, in recognition of the area’s vibrancy as a night-time location. The iconic four-star hotel, Carton House, (a 5 minute drive from U Maynooth) has two championship golf courses, while there are also GAA, soccer and rugby clubs in the area. At second level there is a new education campus under development, which will introduce two new 1,000 pupil schools and Shared Sports Facility to the area. Transport links are also excellent; a fast and regular train service (only a short walk from the development) takes commuters straight into Dublin city centre, Connolly Station, in only 45 minutes, while the N4 motorway ensures that motorists can access the M50 and the city centre quickly and conveniently.
