Rafters is a charming 2-bedroom apartment set in rural Fermanagh. Set in the eaves of a converted barn dating back to circa 1890, this cosy and well-equipped home is se in 4 acres of grounds. Set on the first floor of a lovely old barn by the shores of Lough Killyfole, Rafters has an enchanted feel about it. Step inside to discover a contemporary open plan kitchen, dining and living space set in the eaves of the building. The kitchen includes a washing machine, microwave and dishwasher & high speed Wi-Fi available throughout the apartment. Beyond the living area of Rafters you’ll find two lovely bedrooms. The first is a versatile single room with a day bed and a double sofa bed that could be another lounge. The second is an en suite master bedroom with a shower and superking size bed. This bedroom can also can be set up as two large singles if it suits better. Both bedrooms have their own TV’s too – great if you fancy a lazy morning in bed. There is also a separate family bathroom with a bath and shower over-head. Outside Rafters enjoys access to ,garden but there is also a private decked area just for this apartment. There is a rotary washing line and car parking for 1 or 2 cars immediately outside. The cottage is also adjacent to Fermanagh’s only nature reserve; over 60 acres of natural, wild countryside right on your doorstep. There are over 3.5 kms of walks over land and water to enjoy where you can stop to feed the ducks (duck food dispenser there), catch a glimpse of the local birdlife from the bird hide or just settle down to a nice picnic in the warmer months. This is also an excellent area to cycle safely off the road and there is an enclosed sand paddling area perfect for younger children - just like the beach only safer with no tides or currents. An abundance of Perch and Pike in the waters also makes it an excellent choice for a fishing break with plenty of fishing jetties. It’s incredibly peaceful and incredibly beautiful.
