Located 1.5 kms from over 7kms of beach and 3kms from a 4.5kms cliff walk along the sea. 2 minute walk from shop, post office, church, GAA pitch, Kilkenny Design Centre, and pub. 3kms from Ballycotton, where there are several good places for food. The Schooner Bar, the Blackbird Pub, the Bayview Hotel, the Sea Church Restaurant, which also has concerts of well known artists, a fabulous Pizza Take Away (Big Blue Pizza), and the Salty Dog Restaurant. 3 kms out the other side of the village is Ballymaloe House. There is a great restaurant and cafe there. Out the other side of the village about 2 kms is the Garrvoe Hotel, which also has a gym leisure centre with a swimming pool open for annual memberships. 15/20 minutes walk to Ballymaloe Cookery School from the apartment. If you want golf, there is a golf course 11kms away in Castlemartyr Resort. The town of Midleton is about 12 kms from the apartment. There is a train service from Midleton to Cork City that goes every 30 minutes, and the parking at the station is FREE. Cork City is about 32 kms away. There is also a return bus service from Shanagarry, but it is infrequent (2 times per day Monday to Friday, 1 time on Saturday, none on Sunday). So the tenant really needs their own transport.
