Glenlo Abbey's Championship Golf course designed by Ryder Cup legend Christy O'Connor Jr is a great test for the keen golfer. Other exceptional courses nearby include the championship Oughterard Golf Club (3.5 km), Galway Bay Golf Resort (41 km), and Connemara Championship Golf Links (65 km).
Horse Racing is held every year in July in Galway, and it has become the destination for people to gather from all around the country. Kylemore Abbey, Victorian Gardens (52 km) and Connemara National Park (55 km) make a perfect day out to enjoy the beauty and history of Ireland's west coast.
