This charming stone cottage is adjacent to the owners farm situated between the village of Claddaghduff and the town of Clifden ( approximately 7 miles away). Inside is delightful with an open plan kitchen -dining - living area featuring the original fireplace with a welcoming stove whilst the modern extension has two bedrooms and a shower room. A short walk takes you to Fountain Hill beach and Omey strand where the Omey races are held every year on the last Saturday in July, with the pony show the following day. Locally there is horse riding, fishing, golf, boating excursions to Innisbofin island and the interesting Connemara National park.

Cleggan ( x miles) has a shop and two pubs, one of which is a renowned seafood restaurant. Clifden 7 miles away has Lidy and Supervalu supermarkets, a laundrette, bank, pharmacies, numerous restaurants and pubs with trad music sessions.

Cleggan Beach riding center; Take horse riding lessons, for all levels children and adults, or experience a trek. Trekking times are dependent on tide times, booking in advance is therefore advisable. The center is open all year round.

Boats for deep sea angling and island trips are available for hire at Cleggan

Connemara Championship Golf Links; Founded in 1973 and designed by Eddie Hackett along the Wild Atlantic Way's signature discovery point of Derrigimla Bog and Mannin Bay Blueway, Visitors welcome, equipment for hire; buggies, clubs, electric pull trolleys, pull trolleys, caddies, range balls, golf lessons also available.

Clifden Ponyshow; Connemara Pony Show annual held in August, a range of competitions, trials and demonstrations for all ages to enjoy.
