Property Description:

This well-kept two bedroom chalet is set in a quiet, stunning location on the shores of Galway Bay, with fabulous views of the hills of the Burren, the Cliffs of Moher and the Aran Islands.

The chalet, at a spacious 50 square meters, sleeps up to 4 people. Bedroom 1 has a double bed, Bedroom 2 has bunk-beds, and both bedrooms have chests of drawers for clothing, as well as other furniture. Towels and bed linen are provided. The kitchen/living area contains a fully-fitted kitchen (including oven/hob, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, washing machine, kitchen ware and utensils), with a dining table and chairs, and a sofa. Clothes drying facilities are also available. The kitchen/living area also has a flat-screen TV with a DVD player and terrestrial and UK channels, as well as hundreds of other channels. Being situated on the same land as the family home, any advice or assistance you might need on your stay is always nearby.

The property is within 5 minutes' walk of the seashore, with numerous sandy beaches nearby. The closest shop is 3 minutes' walk away and a Catholic church, a pub, a supermarket and a post-office are all within 15 minutes' walk. We are situated west of the picturesque village of An Spidéal (Spiddal), where you can find cafés, pubs, shops, restaurants, pharmacies, a medical centre, a craft village (pottery, music instruments, glassware etc.) and a wellness centre. Other nearby villages include Na Forbacha (Furbo), Bearna (Barna) and An Cheathrú Rua (Carraroe).

Located down a country lane on the Wild Atlantic Way, we are in an ideal location to explore Conamara (Connemara) and all its attractions. Both air and sea links to the Aran Islands are nearby. Things to do in the area include sea fishing (both from the shore and offshore) and enjoying the many unblemished beaches. In the heart of the Irish-speaking Gaeltacht, the area is rich in Irish culture and heritage, with regular music and theatre events held locally. We are also within easy access to Galway City, where you can enjoy the city's many internationally renowned festivals (Arts, Races, Film etc.).

To reach the Chalet, go west from Galway City along the R336. Three miles west of Spiddal is a Gala Shop/Petrol Station, on the right hand side. Take the road on the left, across from the shop, going down to the sea. The Chalet is the 3rd property on the left.
