It works as well for 2 guests as it does for 8. A leafy lane leads to the fishing and farming village of Ahakista which lies at the centre of the Sheep's Head Peninsular and is on the Sheep's Head Way trail. The real charm of the Cottage is its tranquillity and beautiful setting. For those looking for more, West Cork is well known for the good things of life, artisan food producers and restaurants, especially for seafood. Then there is golf, fishing, sailing, pony trekking, cycling.and, of course, walking. Set in the small village of Ahakista, between Durrus and Kilcrohane, you'll be within easy reach of the sea (less than 0.25 miles) while staying in a tranquil and rural location. Visit the nearby historical Ahakista Stone Circle (1 mile) head to Golden Strand Beach (2 miles) and stroll along the rugged coastline. Set off on an adventure to scenic Tooreen Turning Point (10 miles) or check out the shops and restaurants in the town of Bantry (12 miles). As you approach this tucked-away two-storey cottage you'll notice the thriving nature around you. Step inside to find a snug, comfortable lounge with neutral-toned decor, wooden beamed ceilings, and an eye-catching open fire in an exposed stone fireplace. Well equipped kitchen/dining room. There are four bedrooms with characterful, antique-style furnishings - consisting of a double and three twin rooms. Completing the interior are two bathrooms and one shower room. Outside you'll find a partially enclosed garden where Fido can stretch their legs while you relax on the patio furniture. At the bottom of the garden, you'll be delighted to find a stream.
