The chalet is on the lake shore of lough Mask, which is well known for its wild brown trout fishing. It is in a very private and peaceful area surrounded by woodland and of course the lake. It would also suit walker's, artist's and in fact holiday makers in general because of its serenity, with stunning views of the mountains and lake. This secret hideaway also boasts a lovely decking area where you can enjoy your barbeque and relax to the sound of the wildlife. Accommodation: The cottage has three bedrooms, a double, two singles and a sofa bed in the lounge which sleeps 2 extra guests. There is a main bathroom as well as a family shower room. There is also an open plan living area with galley kitchen, dining area and sitting area. The whole property enjoys lake views. Outside, the garden surrounds the property, and has a rear decked area. There is off road parking, and guests can hire boats by arrangement with the owner. The Fishing Lodge is a fantastic cottage for fishing lovers and all holiday makers in general. Area: The vibrant town of Ballinrobe is situated by the River Robe in County Mayo, close to Lough Corrib and Lough Mask. Dating back to the 1300s, it is thought to be the oldest town in South Mayo. The town now has a wide variety of shops, restaurants, and pubs and its location makes it an ideal base to explore County Mayo and County Galway. There are a number of outdoor activities available in the area, from fishing on the nearby lakes to a round of golf on one of the many fine golf courses in the area. Further away and roughly a two-hour drive lies the National Park of Connemara with wonderful walks and breathtaking scenery. This is a wonderful region for a holiday at any time of year.
