The lakeside itself is less than a quarter of a mile from the cottage, and you'll want to explore the impressive lakes - covering 5,000 acres of water - by foot, bike or kayak. You can reach the vibrant city of Dublin in 22 miles, while the south east coast, with its sunny beaches, is 20 miles away.
