Each of the five spacious bedrooms provides magnificent vistas through the picture-perfect large oceanside windows. With such a unique privileged setting, you won't even need to leave your bed in the mornings to appreciate the sea. The large patio and barbeque area to the front is a heavenly spot for al fresco dining, or having that well-deserved sundowner in the evenings! The expansive garden leads directly to the water and a shingle beach is surrounded by views of Mizen Head and Sheep's Head. The house is situated just outside the charming West Cork village of Durrus, with its shops and very popular pub/eatery The Long Boat. The thriving and large town of Bantry is just 7 miles away. Accommodation: Dunmanus Bay View can sleep ten guests very comfortably, and offers you the choice of five bedrooms and three bathrooms, tastefully combining an understated yet subtle modern decor, with the best traditions of hospitality and comfort. There are three double bedrooms, each with a view out over the bay and each with a king-size bed. One room also has an en-suite bathroom with a bath, power shower and WC. All beds are luxury King Koil pocket sprung or of similar quality and all bed linen is pure cotton. There are also two twin bedrooms located at the rear of the house and two further bathrooms, both with a separate bath and power shower and WC. All bathrooms have a bath, a shower, sink or sinks and a W.C. The living area runs from the front to the back of the house and is contained within a generous open plan lounge, dining and kitchen area. This part of Bay House is equipped with Blu-ray surround sound TV, high definition free-sat, iPod dock, leather sofas, dining table to seat ten and a large wood-burning stove. Wireless broadband access is available throughout the house. The spacious kitchen area has an American style fridge/freezer, a microwave and a conventional oven, hob, grill, toaster, ice maker and a full range of cooking utensils. A well-equipped utility room is complete with washing machine/tumble dryer, dishwasher, iron and iron and board. To the front of the property is The large patio and BBQ area offers outdoor seating for ten guests. This is the perfect spot to sit and watch the sunset at the end of your day exploring this truly beautiful part of West Cork. All of the living and sleeping accommodation is on one level; the house is spacious and very well equipped throughout. Dunmanus Bay View has central heating and we provide you with filtered water, towels, linen, soap and a hairdryer. We can also provide up to date information on local activities. Dunmanus Bay View is suitable both for families and for more elderly or infirm guests and is wheelchair accessible. Unfortunately, we cannot take pets.
