Close to Ennistymon is O'Brien Castle, which dates back to 1588, and the beautiful seaside resort of Lahinch is just two miles away, with a golden Blue Flag sandy beach that is ideal for building sandcastles and swimming. Lahinch is famous for surfing, sea kayaking and outdoor sports, and also has a world-renowned golf course and a large play park for children. The stunning Cliffs of Moher, nominated as one of the seven wonders of the world, are also close by.
