Detached cottage in private walled garden of fine country house (dating just before 1800) on delightful estate beside the River Clashawley. It has its own separate access and is situated near the small historic town of Fethard (c.2km /1.3 miles) located in Ireland's 'Ancient East'. Fethard boasts a huge number of medieval ruins, a 14th century town wall and a heritage walking trail. Renowned for its links with horse racing, there is the recently opened Horse Country Experience museum. There are shops, pubs, one restaurant and one deli. 18 hole golf course (3km/1.9 miles) and Slievenamon mountain nearby (2365 ft - 3km/1.9 miles). On the estate, which is ideal for walking dogs, there is horse/pony riding available (stables are also available for rent), walking / running / cycling and kayaking on the river. Rock of Cashel, Cahir Castle and Clonmel are within easy reach. There are many beaches directly south near Dungarvan (54km/34 miles).
