A good base for touring the North West of Ireland, it's ideal for large families or groups of friends. Just 2 miles away is the huge, sandy beach of Rossnowlagh, known as one of Ireland's best surfing beaches, where you can also experience paddle boarding, kite surfing and horse trekking. In the charming seaside resort itself you'll find an artisan bakery, a barista coffee trailer, a pub and a hotel with a choice of bars and fine dining. The town of Donegal (8 miles) has a reputation for its culinary offerings, and also boasts a castle, abbey ruins, railway heritage centre and waterbus tours. Furnished with an eye for traditional comfort, the house has a choice of two lounges, both with wood burners and one with a TV, so you can divide into two groups if you wish, or send the little ones away to play separately.
