The Convent Building
The Convent building, that is on the Record of Protected Structures (RPS No. B11-100), is a two-storey Gothic-style building with dormer attic that dates from c.1875 and was extended to the north-west in c.1920. The snecked rubble stone with cut-stone dressings construction is considered to be a fine example of the high quality of stone masonry practised in the locality.

The National Inventory of Architectural describes the building as being "fine and imposing". It describes that the building has been sympathetically extended over the years and that it retains most of its original features and materials that complements the appearance of St. Patricks Church and together they form a neat group of Catholic ecclesiastical structures on the Main Street. Although not a prominent feature of the streetscape of the Main Street, the building is considered to be an attractive landmark in the locality when viewed from the avenue to south-east.
