The University town of Maynooth is a beautiful and historic town situated in the rapidly developing and progressive area of North Kildare which in turn straddles and indeed forms part of the strategically and economically important Greater Dublin area. Indeed it can validly be claimed that Maynooth is the gateway in the corridor bordering the high density areas of west Dublin, north Kildare and south Meath - from the surrounding lush and tranquil country environs.

Only 15 miles from Dublin city centre, Maynooth enjoys all the benefits of modern commuter facilities such as excellent train and bus services along with ease of access to the M50, N4/M4 and is only less than a 30 minute drive from Dublin airport. The town has benefited enormously during the " Celtic Tiger " period from the location nearby of major Multinationals such as Intel and Hewlett Packard.

Maynooth is a planned 18th Century town, steeped in its historical significance of being the home of the great Earls of Kildare who ruled Ireland in effect from 1316 to 1534, their presence still manifest in the town by the presence of the great ruins of the Castle of Maynooth. The National University of Ireland and the National Seminary for Ireland, St. Patricks College dominate the activities and ethos of the present day town. Nearby, Carton House, once the home of the Dukes of Leinster, now maintained and being developed by the Mallaghan family, provides another major asset to the town. Maynooth is indeed a great town to live in and work in.
