The house is occupied by just one other person - a quiet, professional software engineer who works full-time from home. Because I travel frequently for business in Europe, you will often have the house to yourself, which is why I am looking for a highly reliable, independent, and respectful tenant to look after the place. The Space & Amenities Your Room: A comfortable double bedroom located on the first floor. Shared Areas: Main bathroom (shower, toilet, basin) on the first floor. Fully equipped kitchen and living room on the ground floor. Appliances: Oven, washing machine, dishwasher, vacuum cleaner, and steam iron are all available. (Please note: no microwave). Bonus: If you love the outdoors, I have a 3-person Decathlon kayak, fishing gear, and camping equipment that you are welcome to borrow. Internet: I can help you set up your own independent router/connection for approx. €12.99/month, ensuring we both have redundant IT setups. House Rules & Environment The Vibe: This is a strictly quiet, peaceful, and clean household. I need a high level of focus for my software engineering work, so loud music or parties are not permitted (acoustic music or practicing an instrument during reasonable daytime hours is very welcome). It is an alcohol-free environment inside the home. The Community: The neighbors are incredibly friendly and easy-going. There is a great community vibe, including occasional neighborhood summer BBQs which you'd be welcome to join. Rent & Utilities: Rent is €100/week, expected strictly on time. This includes standard electricity and household utility usage under a fair usage policy Heating Note: The electrical heating system is not to be used, as it causes extreme utility spikes. Instead, the house is equipped with a highly efficient gas oven/heater for the colder months. Excessive power usage (e.g., leaving appliances running constantly) will incur extra charges.
