First off, please read the whole ad so we're not wasting each others time ! Thank you :-) Double room available in designer mews house in Rathmines, sharing with easy-going owner-occupier (Male, 50s). Nice bright room, big fitted wardrobe for storage, a tall chest of drawers, and window looks onto garden. Room has a studying desk and chair. Comfortable double bed with good quality mattress. Great area, safe and really quiet at night yet very handy for buses, taxis and the shops a 30-second walk away on Harold's Cross road. Town is no more than a 30-minute walk away. High-speed broadband wi-fi, 500Mbps. House is fitted with a brand-new gas combi-boiler: apart from being very efficient and helping with the bills it heats water for the taps on demand, so there's no nonsense with an immersion. Also the bathroom has a power rain shower and a humidity-activated extractor fan. South-facing garden, serious sun trap. All exterior windows and doors in house recently replaced with high-insulation double-glazed versions. Just to be aware there are two antique ticking and chiming clocks downstairs, I'm used to them but just to let you know. House has a decent-sized library if you enjoy reading. It would be great if you enjoy living with a cat, Tammy is 18 now and spends most of her time sleeping and looking out the window. If you're not into cats that's cool, but this house is not for you. If I'm away for work she needs to be fed etc. I'm sorry but I can't accommodate other pets. It's an easy going house, in general I'm looking for a friendly and reliable person who will enjoy living here, not someone who prefers minimal or zero interaction with housemates. Over the years I've been lucky to have learnt about the cultures of Italy, Germany, Japan, Turkey, Canada, Argentina, Brazil, the Czech Republic and indeed other parts of Ireland from various housemates. If you can write a bit about yourself, your sharing history, normal routine etc. it will help a lot. Due to the anticipated number of replies the clearer impression I can have in advance the better that will be, within reason. No smoking or vaping inside as per usual. The house has a standard schedule and I often work from home myself (arts/media) so if you're up regularly until the early hours of the morning unfortunately that's not going to work out. Due to anticipated number of replies I will not be able to get back to everyone individually, apologies in advance and please don't take it personally, I know it's a crazy time to be looking for a room in Dublin.
