We do not have television. About Us We’re a friendly, respectful gay couple in our 40s who’ve called this home our own for 10 years. We both work full-time, enjoy relaxing evenings, and value a home built on trust, respect, and good vibes. We have two indoor cats who are very much part of the family – fluffy, affectionate, and a little demanding! If you love cats (and don’t have allergies), you’ll fit right in. Who We’re Looking For We’re hoping to welcome an independent, non-smoking housemate (preferably female) who: - Loves cats and has experience living with them - Enjoys plants and a calm, tidy home - Cleans up after themselves and helps keep shared spaces pleasant - Is proactive about washing up after cooking and generally being considerate We’re not perfectionists, but we do appreciate someone who naturally pitches in and treats the home with care. Your Room - Cosy double room with wardrobe - Two windows: one overlooking the garden, plus a skylight - A bathroom right beside your room – while technically a “social” bathroom, it will mainly be used by you - We also have a separate toilet in our own bedroom for added convenience Shared Spaces - Bright, fully equipped kitchen opening onto a small green backyard with bay leaf trees - Comfortable living room for chilling out - Spacious attic with a sofa bed and home-office setup – shared for work, study, or occasional guests Location Highlights Quiet street in a calm neighbourhood**, yet super central: - 13-minute walk to Dublin city centre / O’Connell Street - 3-minute walk to Dorset Street - 3-minute walk to the Royal Canal (great for walks, cycling, or sunny-day hangs) - Close to shops, cafés, bakeries, restaurants, markets, and the Mater Hospital Transport links: - Buses: Dorset Street is heavily served by routes including 1, 11, 16, 33, 41, 41B, 41C, and 122, plus the new F-spine routes F1, F2, and F3 (24-hour service on F1 & F2). Important Details - Contract: Organised directly by the landlord, who will need to approve your application. - Deposit: €922.50 paid to the landlord. If a tenant moves out, they must give at least 28 days’ notice to both housemates and the landlord so a replacement can be found and the deposit smoothly transferred. - No additional pets: Our cats are territorial and do best without other animals in the home. - Maximum occupancy: Three people in the house total.
