We live in a quirky, 200 year old house in a small village in South Galway. It's beautiful but also comes with the charms of thin windows and breezy winters, despite having radiators to heat the rooms and a shared stove in the main living room - if you are sensitive to cold and don't like wrapping up, this may not be for you! We are rural-esque, being about 5km from the closest town/shops/cafes, so having a car is quite necessary unless you are a big bike person I guess ! (we are 5km from the closest town/shops). There are 4 of us ranging between 30-48 yrs old sharing the main house at the moment. You would be taking one of the double rooms on the top floor and sharing a 1) bath/shower-room and 2) toilet room with 1 or maybe 2 other people. The house is nice and spacious so it sometimes feels very quiet, even if everyone is home! We all share a lovely big and very bright kitchen, a cosy sitting room with a big tv and a beautiful bright common space which we call the green room where people like to do yoga, play music, do craft projects etc as there is a big table, many instruments and a piano as well as some more couches. This room gets amazing morning light and sunshine when it's out! The cats favorite place to lounge.. There is a downstairs communal toilet room where our washer and dryer unit is also housed. There is plenty of space outside, gardens and a special walled-in veg garden with a poly-tunnel for anyone who likes growing things! We have a few neighbors and share a wall with the village pub who have sessions and seanos dance classes weekly so that's our village fun:)
