Property Description:

A spacious 4 bedroomed detached holiday home with lovely sea views.

A wonderful location - directly opposite the beautiful sandy beach of South Beach, ideal for gentle strolls along the kilometer-long strand, perfect for lazy beach picnics or just having fun building sandcastles and sea forts.
It takes less than one minute to walk to a delightful playground, Zipline and an exercise track, tennis and basketball courts. The beach is just a two-minute walk, and it's a short and pleasant walk along the beach to Duncannon village where you can reward your efforts with a pint, or have a lovely meal at the village pubs or hotel.
Wexford and New Ross are a short drive away, and you can be in Waterford within 30 minutes if you take the ferry at Ballyhack.

It's the perfect balance between a quiet getaway and convenient village living.

The house: It's bright and spacious with four bedrooms - two double rooms (one with ensuite shower/toilet), one twin room and one single room. There is a separate bathroom / shower / toilet upstairs and another toilet downstairs.

Included with the house are TV, and DVD player, cot, high chair, and a variety of entertainment for the "Little Ones" such as bucket & spade, toys, books and games. Also included are a dishwasher, washing machine, fridge/ freezer, microwave cooker, gas hob and electric oven, oil-fired central heating, and an open fireplace.

Local Facilities: We use the house for our own short holiday breaks all year around. It's ideal for a relaxing interlude in the sunny South East. You can be quite content to stay local and enjoy the convenience of the local facilities: the playground, exercise track, tennis court and basketball court are just a one-minute walk from the front door; the beach is just one minute beyond that again.

The other splendid beaches in the vicinity provide hours of fun where you can swim and stroll happily. And after a relaxing day's activity, round it off with a visit to a local restaurant or pub which is within a few minutes' walk to Duncannon village or a short drive away to the surrounding villages of Ramsgrange and Arthurstown to experience the delights of The Hollow, Aldridge Lodge or Dunbrody House.

Duncannon Village is not shy at putting on a show. Check out the imaginative events it promotes throughout the summer season: a military re-enactment on South Beach and Duncannon Fort on the June Bank Holiday; and a sandcastle-building competition and fireworks display during July or August.

Hook Head and Waterford Estuary: Alternatively use the house in South Beach as a base to explore the Hook Head and Waterford Harbour area. There are lots of interesting things to see and do nearby: explore the countryside by bike; walk from Sleigh Head to Hook Head along the blustery coast; explore the ghostly manor at Loftus Hall; golf at Faithlegg, Rosslare, or Wexford; visit JFK Park near New Ross; or wander through the grounds of Johnstown Castle near Wexford. You can explore the former Cistercian monasteries at Tintern Abbey (13th century) or Dunbrody Abbey (15th century), or the Knights Templars' Ballyhack Castle.

South Beach, Duncannon - a good time holiday location, waiting to be discovered!
